Girl Scout Troop 32185 was started in 2012 as a group of Kindergarten Daisies.
Our first year, our girls began to learn what it means to be a Girl Scout. The girls were responsible for planting summer flowers at their school garden, which the children and teachers enjoyed when school started back up as first graders! During our second year as Daisies, the girls learned about Animal Care and Safety, making a video to share with their classmates, covering and sharing all that they had learned.
As Brownies, our troop spent the night in girl scout lodges, did community service events for local charities, earned a multitude of badges from dancing, first aid, girl scout traditions, snacks, etc. We also made a 'buddy bench' for our local school.
As Juniors, we continued to earn badges, spent several nights in lodges and went cabin camping. We also put on programs for younger scouts, helped out at younger scout meetings, learned about stereotypes and how to combat them, learned about mental health issues and earned our Bronze award by helping other kids with mental health issues be prepared to start a new school year. In addition, we saved cookie funds for two years and paid for a trip to St. Louis (100% paid for by cookies!)
We are moving on as Cadettes(6th-8th grade), taking on archery and other amazing opportunities, while saving for our next big trip and putting in service hours to girl scouts and our communities while beginning to put forth ideas for silver award projects (Silver award is the second highest award a Girl Scout can earn).
We currently are made up of a group of 7 scouts, and are always open to making new friends and welcoming new scouts to our troop!
